Where Art Meets Recognition

At Ellenburg and Shaffer, we believe that donor recognition is more than just a display - it’s a meaningful way to honor generosity, inspire future giving, and integrate philanthropy into the heart of your institution. With over 20 years of experience designing and fabricating custom kiln-formed glass installations, we specialize in creating donor recognition solutions that are visually stunning, deeply personal, and built to last.

Using our custom-built kiln, we fuse glass, then paint each piece by hand. This results in glass that has a distinct texture and water-like surface. With our organic color palette, our signature style is unmistakable.

Our studio is located in the historic waterside town of Norfolk, Virginia, close to the idyllic Chesapeake Bay. Avery Shaffer also shares his passion for glass as an adjunct instructor at the Chrysler Museum Glass Studio.

We are excited about the opportunity to collaborate with you to develop a donor recognition program that aligns with your mission and fundraising goals. Our approach combines artistic craftsmanship with strategic planning, ensuring that each recognition piece enhances your space while celebrating donor contributions in a timeless and impactful way.
