Donor Recognition Glass & Metal Sculpture

Ellenburg + Shaffer designed this exterior donor recognition sculpture for the Elizabeth River Trails Foundation. The sail sculpture is installed at the Norfolk Waterfront of Harbor Park and the design is a nod to the maritime history of the area. The glass is 1/2” thick tempered glass in shades of green, blue and orange. The logo and donor names are depth-carved into the glass. The frames are painted carbon steel with concrete bases with the sculptures measuring 10’, 12’ and 14’, respectively. The entire display is illuminated with LED lighting. The sculpture is a hub for the active city-wide trail system where visitors can admire the waterfront view and the ‘Three’ sailing ships.
